Technology

Communication devices, modern tools, applications and information that rely on the Internet have given doctors, especially young people, a source of new equipment and modern means to diagnose symptoms and treat patients, to obtain information and exchange, and to think about what it means to be a doctor

In the past, the science of medicine has been evolving with the achievements of biology, and the accuracy and speed it has reached now has come only thanks to digital technology and modern devices.
This new technology and means would create new phenomena that were not common in the medical profession, the so-called "generational gap". Older doctors are impressed with the ease with which their young colleagues use this technology, but rather envy it. They fear, however, that humanitarian links at the center of the medical profession are at risk of extinction.
More humane
"Just adding an application does not necessarily improve the performance of doctors. What we need to learn is how to use technology to be better and more humane," says Paul C. Tang, head of innovation and technology at Palo Alto Medical, California.
There are recent applications that doctors currently use to facilitate their work and multiply their production, such as Medkalek, the clinical calculation machine, an application to determine the appropriate dosages and drug interactions, and OxyCalciolite to create pages to predict the potential risk to patients.
Some doctors like the modern medical headset that amplifies the heartbeat and eliminates any sounds that surround the sound of these beats or can be mixed with the old speakers.
Tablet PCs linking to e-health records are making their way into the hands of doctors under training throughout the United States.
